On this episode, the whole community copes with grief and loss. Meanwhile, Phyllis has hurt her back and tries to keep up with the workload and a young patient; Lucille has a patient whose father’s lover is suffering from dementia, and it’s Sister Monica Joan’s birthday.

On this episode, Poplar has the coldest winter in centuries (I said on the podcast it was “in decades” but fact-checking during editing shows that I undersold it). While everyone copes with the cold, Val has a patient who is worried because her boyfriend isn’t her baby’s father, and Sister Julienne takes care of a recent widow with a painful past.
Note: in this episode we call one the characters “Althea” throughout. We had a conversation about whether it was “Althea” or “Anthea” that we cut out of the edit for being boring, but it turns out that the name we landed on was wrong. It’s Anthea! Oops!
