Do not think for a moment that the Beowulf course might be intended for Dungeons & Dragons folk or Sci Fi nerds. With Prof. Moffett as your guide, it is a serious academic exposition including aspects of language, culture, myths, sagas, history and the tools employed by the poet for maximum interest in the story and impact. I am very happy I took this course and plan to enroll in more of the courses he offers.
